Alice J. Semer, 85, of Montpelier passed away Saturday August 3rd, after a brief illness, at Hillside Country Living in Bryan.  She was born on February 19, 1928 in Madison Township, Ohio to Mervan and Ethel (Rowse) Kosier.  Alice graduated from Kunkle High School in 1946.  She married Marlo R. Semer on June 22, 1946 in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death in February 2003. Alice was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Montpelier.  She was a homemaker and had worked for the Montpelier Schools; as a teacher's aide and as a cafeteria worker at Storrer Elementary and as a study hall monitor at the High School. She is survived by two daughters, Connie (Rex) Grice of Montpelier and Melinda (Robert) Kunsman of Bryan; five grandchildren, Aaron (Dee) Grice, Michael (Amy) Grice, Beth Grice, Jason (Meg) Kunsman and Matthew (Julie) Kunsman; eight great grandchildren, Alex, Abby, Tristan and Sylvia Grice and Paige, Nora, Annie and Kate Kunsman. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marlo, stepmother Nancy Miracle, two brothers, Olin M (Bounce) Kosier and Maurice G. (Push) Kosier; two sisters, Hildreth Moore and Wilma Kosier; step brother Wesley "Bud" Schieve; and step sister Katherine "Kate" Lehmann. Visitation hours for Alice will be on Saturday August 10th at 10am at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Montpelier.  Services will follow at 11am at the church with Reverend Richard Blank and Reverend Steve Smith to officiate.  Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.  Donations may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
