Obituary

RUTH ARLENE FALER MONTPELIER -- Ruth Arlene Faler, 88 of rural Montpelier, died early Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Hillside Country Living near Bryan. She was born September 18, 1922 at Montpelier, Ohio to Walter and Minnie (May) Dilworth. She graduated salutatorian from Montpelier High School in 1940. On June 22, 1940 she married Kenneth Faler, and outside of ten years at rural Camden, Michigan, the couple resided near Montpelier all if their married life. Kenneth preceded her in death on May 17, 1984. Arlene was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Raymond Eugene "Gene" Faler, one son-in-law Kenneth Ussery, one brother Keith Dilworth, one sister Margaret (Dilworth) Ruest, and one brother-in-law Ed Smith. Arlene is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Ussery Montpelier, Ohio, one son, Pastor Brad (Vivian) Faler Archbold, Ohio, one daughter-in-law Kay Faler Stryker, Ohio, one foster daughter Juanita (Sean) Westman Margate, Florida, one brother Clare (Eloise) Dilworth Camden, Michigan, one sister Venetia Smith Bryan, Ohio, one sister-in-law Doris Dilworth Montpelier, Ohio, many nieces and nephews, and special friend Mona Childs Archbold, Ohio, Arlene is also survived by six grandchildren, Dawn (David) Follis of Camden, Michigan, Doug (Destini) Faler Pioneer, Ohio, Kendra (Danny) Startzman Montpelier, Ohio, Kyle Ussery Montpelier, Ohio, Dan Faler Fairfax, South Carolina, and Nathan Faler Archbold, Ohio; two foster grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and six step great-great grandchildren, and two foster great grandchildren. Visitation for Arlene Faler will be Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio, and after 9:00 a.m. Monday in New Beginnings Church, Montpelier with services to be at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Martinelli officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, Ohio. Preferred memorials are to New Beginnings Church or Hillside Country Living Activity Fund.
