Barbara is survived by her three children, Jayson and Joni Scantlen of Bryan, Beau and Natalie (Scantlen) August of Seattle, WA, Mark and Shelley (Scantlen) Emmons of Reading, MI, two grand-daughters, Nicole and Sarah Scantlen, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Marjorie Drinnon, and two brothers, William and John Underwood. Visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier on Tuesday from 4-7pm with a memorial service to follow at 7pm. A private family burial will take place on Wednesday at Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan. Memorial contributions can be made to Camp Selah, 3600 Long Lake Rd, Reading, MI 49274.
