Betty L. Wheeler, 96, of Pioneer, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.  She was born on May 24, 1922 in Montpelier to Royal Cleo and Mary (Fisher) Brandeberry. Betty graduated from Montpelier High School in 1941. On September 16, 1944 she married Grant R. Wheeler and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2009. Betty is survived by her four sons, David (Elodia) Wheeler of Montpelier, Clarence R. Wheeler of Pioneer, Norman (Sally) Wheeler of Pioneer and Monroe (Bobbie) Wheeler on Montpelier; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Grant, brothers Richard, Clarence and Ralph Brandeberry and two sisters Janet Edinger and Dorothy Miller. Services for Betty will be on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Father Dan Borgelt to officiate.  Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.  Memorial contributions may be given to Great Lakes Hospice or the charity of Donor's Choice.
