BETTY J. DUNSETH
Betty J. Dunseth, 83, of rural Montpelier, passed away peacefully, Monday evening January 9, 2012, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan following a lengthy illness of Alzheimer's Disease.
Betty was born May 24, 1928 at Florida, Ohio to Freddy and Alta (Brubaker) Durham and was an area resident most of her life. She was a 1947 graduate of Ney High School, and was married to Russell E. Dunseth on May 30, 1947, and he survives along with their six children; Marvin (Connie) Dunseth, Montpelier, Melvin Dunseth, Bryan, Maurice Dunseth, Houston, Missouri, and Max (Tina) Dunseth, Coldwater, Michigan, Marilyn Moor, Montpelier and Millie (George) Bible, West Unity. Ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren with one on the way, five step grandchildren, and eight step great grandchildren, two sisters, Wilma Bernath, West Unity, and Norma (Robert A.) Jones, Sr., Edgerton, Ohio, and a brother-In –law, Donald Kretzer, of Sherwood.
She was preceded in death by brothers Don "Pete" Durham and Infant Freddy Durham, and sister Ruth Kretzer.
Betty was a very active member and an ordained Elder of West Bethesda Presbyterian Church along with her duties of church custodian, and was a member of the Ladies Association of the church; and, was a faithful member of the Superior Mothers Club.
She had retired as cafeteria supervisor at Montpelier's Superior Middle School where she had been employed over 20 years. Not one to be idle, she always kept busy on the farm helping with baling, crop harvesting, milking cows, raising chickens, and other chores.
Visitation for Betty J. Dunseth will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier. Funeral services will at 11:00 a.m. Friday in West Bethesda Presbyterian Church near Montpelier, with Pastor Brad Faler officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after 10 a.m. prior to services. Burial will follow in Ney Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Church or Hillside Activity Fund.
She loved everyone and hopefully everyone loved her.
