Obituary

Charles "Chuck" A. Schrom, Sr. 58 of Pioneer died early Sunday morning at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Center in Montpelier.  He was born April 4th 1953 in Hudson, MI to Virgil M. & Bernice (Haner) Schrom, Sr.  Chuck was the husband of Tracy J. (Fee) who he married on November 20th 1982 in Angola, IN. Chuck attended Camden Frontier School System.  Chuck was a Pickle Operator at Chase-Brass & Copper Co. in Holiday City, Ohio; he had been employed there since June of 1972.  At one time Chuck was a grievance chairman for the United Steel Workers Local and a Pioneer Little League Coach.   He was a wonderful Father and Grandfather Chuck is survived by three daughters Angela (Mike) Bucho of Redford, MI, Tammy (Rob) Helton of Redford, MI and Sarah (Jacob) Semer of Pioneer, two sons Mic (Deedee) Schrom of Edgerton and Charles (Stephanie) Schrom, Jr. of Pioneer, 11 grandchildren, one sister Betty June Stoner of Hillsdale, MI, and three brothers Virgil (Lynn) Schrom, Jr. of Osseo, MI, Vernon (Holly) Schrom of Pine Plains, NY and Dennis (Kay) Schrom of Big Rapids, MI, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, October 19th at 11am at the Waldron Cemetery in Waldron, MI with Pastor Charles Gray to officiate.  Family will receive friends at Chuck and Tracy's home in Pioneer on Wednesday immediately following the graveside services until 4pm.  Donations can be made to the First Church of Amboy or the Community Tissue Services in care of the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier.
