Obituary

Charles W. Graser, Jr, 84, of Pioneer passed away at home on Friday, November 15, 2024.  He was born on March 11, 1940 in Toledo.  In 1974 he married Jeannette K. Koder and she survives.

Chuck was a Millwright Journeyman at Unicast Toledo Steel Tubing.  He was a Ham operator, race car driver, mechanic, woodworker, a Jack of All Trades; and he taught his children all of these things.   Chuck was a wonderful man who loved everyone.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeannette; children Charles W. (Joyce) Graser III, Albert P. (Sherri) Graser, Charlene Wilson, Billy Lee Graser, Julie A. (Curt) Schaffner, Nora J. (Nick) Groth and Ernie Graser; 118 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; three half siblings; and Ruth Suzor and Audrey Samson.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Norma I. Graser, daughter Kathlene Durdel, grandsons Christopher Graser and Allen Angel, twin great grandchildren Christopher Douglas and Glenda Marie; sister Sharon Samson, brothers Wayne Innman and Albert Graser, and cousin Michael Weiss.

Visitation for Chuck will be on Tuesday, November 19th from 11am-1pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier.  Services will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 pm.  Chuck will be laid to rest at Columbia Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
