(Best) Culler
May 14, 1932 – April 28, 2021
Charlotte Ann (Best) Culler, 88 of Bryan, passed away on April 28, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on May 14, 1932 in Montpelier to Lester and Zola (Flickinger) Best. Charlotte graduated from Montpelier High School in 1950 and attended The Ohio State University for nursing. She graduated from Fort Wayne Lutheran School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1954. On September 26, 1954 she married Ralph Erwin Culler and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1993.
At one time, Charlotte worked at the Williams County General Hospital in Montpelier as an RN. In 1970 she graduated from Bowling Green State University with her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and for 27 years, taught kindergarten at Pulaski Elementary of Bryan City Schools. She was a member of Christ Community Church in Ridgeville Corners, OH.
Charlotte is survived by four children; Cathryn (Michael) Spurlock of Columbus, OH, Charles (Wendy) Culler of Bryan, Michael (Dina) Culler of Bryan and Christine (Thomas) Williams of Plain City, OH; twelve grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher, John, Susanna, Christiana, David, Darcie, Jessica, Sean, Sam, Rycki, and Danielle; eight great grandchildren, Andrew, Brodee, Rachel, Geoffrey, Tanley, Landon, Mackenzie and Gianna; one sister, Phyllis Koesterman of Cincinnati, OH; and one brother, Dr. James Best of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; infant brother Don Best; and three sisters, Meredith, Joan and Marjorie.
Due to the ongoing pandemic it is recommended that visitors wear face coverings for the time to receive friends on May 8, 2021 at Christ Community Church in Ridgeville Corners from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the visitation at the church at 11:00 am with Elder Jack Oberlin to officiate. Charlotte will be buried at Farmer Cemetery in Defiance County, Ohio. Donations may be given to Gideons or Christ Community Church.
