Obituary

Constance Jean Buldas, 54 of Toledo died Thursday afternoon in her home with her family by her side.  She was born on January 28th 1958 in Montpelier to Donald L. and Theresa M. (Ferraro) Nicolen. Connie graduated from Montpelier High School in 1976 and then went on to receive her L.P.N. degree from the Bowling Green Nursing School.  While Connie was an L.P.N. she worked at the Williams County General Hospital in Montpelier.  Then on October 21st 1983 she married James J. Buldas in West Chester, Pennsylvania.  In 1986 she received her R.N. degree from Owen's College in Toledo and went on to work at St. Vincent's Hospital, Flower Community Hospital and several other organizations in and around the Toledo area. Connie attended Christ the King Catholic Church in Toledo and was a member of the Ohio Nursing Association. Connie is survived by her parents Don and Theresa Nicolen of Montpelier, husband James of Toledo, a son James and wife Maria Buldas of Pittsburg, PA, a daughter Jenna N. Buldas and fiancé Steve Gawronski of Toledo, a grandson Vincent J. Buldas, a brother Charles and wife Connie Nicolen of Hamilton, IN, two sisters Randa and husband Stephen McCrea of Montpelier and Mary Jo Welling of West Unity. She was preceded in death by a brother Lonnie Chrisman in 1970 and a sister Anne Nicolen in 1982. A private family service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier with Father Fred Duschl to officiate.  Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Donations may be made to the Erie West Promedica Hospice, 5393 Monroe Street, Toledo, Ohio 43623.
