Delena R. "Dee" Detwiler, 80 died Wednesday afternoon at her home in Alvordton surrounded by her loving family.  Dee was born on January 16th 1931 in Millcreek Township to Carl & Daisy (Shafer) Croninger.  She married Keith D. Detwiler on February 12th 1950 and were united in marriage for 51 ½ years until his death on August 28th 2001. Dee graduated from Kunkle High School.  She worked for a brief time as a secretary at Ohio Mutual Insurance Company in West Unity and then in the early 1960's worked at William's 5¢ & 10¢ store in West Unity.  In February of 1983 Dee retired from the F& L Farm Supply in West Unity as a secretary and bookkeeper after 18 years of employment. Dee was a member of the Silver Creek Church of the Brethren near Pioneer. Dee is survived by two sons Ronald (Pat) Detwiler, Roger (Kathy) Detwiler, one daughter Sue Ann (Ron) Geitgey all of Alvordton, four grandchildren Cody Geitgey, Carey (Shawn) Geitgey-Gochenour, Korby & Bryce Detwiler, one great granddaughter Chloe Gochenour, one brother Marlin (Barb) Croninger of Alvordton, and one sister Donna Keck of Pioneer Dee was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith, an infant son and a brother-in-law Joe Keck. Graveside services for Dee will be on Saturday, January 14th at 1pm at Floral Grove Cemetery in West Unity with Pastor Terry L. Baldwin to officiate.  Donations in memory of Dee can be made to the Cancer Assistance of Williams County in care of the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier.
