DENNIS H. "DJ" JOHNSON Dennis H. "DJ" Johnson, 69, of rural Alvordton, Ohio died Thursday evening, October 13, 2011 at Community Hospital and Wellness Center, Bryan, Ohio where he was a patient. Born August 14, 1942 at Benton Harbor, Michigan to Theron L. and Lisabelle (Holle) Johnson, he was a long time resident of the Goshen, Indiana, and had been a Alvordton/Kunkle resident for the past 32 years. He was a graduate of Goshen College, and earned a Masters Degree from Ball State University. He then taught math in Hilltop High School, West Unity for a number of years. He then attended University of Toledo, earning a degree in pharmacy, and has served as an area pharmacist for over 25 years. DJ was a member of the Little Pines Church of the Brethren in Bristol, Indiana. On August 9, 1981 he was married to Betty Ricks who survives. Also surviving is one son, Darin Johnson, Alvordton; two brothers, William "Bill" (Carol) Johnson and Theron "Ted" (Sharon), both of Goshen, Indiana. Two nieces and four nephews. Visitation was Monday, October 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, where funeral services were held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.. with Pastor Nick Woodall officiating.
