Donna Renee Lamb, 52, of Montpelier died Monday evening at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio. Donna was born on August 26th 1959 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Edgar G. and Betty J. (Cummings) Campbell. On May 9th 1999 she married Brian L. Lamb in Key West, Florida and he survives.
Donna was currently employed at Diversified Metals Incorporated (DMI) in Edon, in the purchasing department. She also helped her husband Brian manage and operate the Lamb Trucking LLC of Hillsdale, Michigan. Prior to DMI she worked at Schlegel Inc. in West Unity, in the shipping department, for approximately 13 years. For a brief time she worked for Powers and Sons in Montpelier, in the purchasing department.
Donna had a great love for traveling, especially by car. She traveled all over the country seeing what life had to offer from the driver's seat. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and occasionally spoiling them with her time and thoughtful gifts.
Donna is survived by her mother Betty (Hoyt) Pope of Ashflat, AR, husband Brian of Montpelier, son Kennie Looney, Jr. of Sedona, AZ, daughter Jamie (David) Vansteenkiste of Bryan, step daughter Maranda K. Lamb of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, step son James W. Lamb of Montpelier, three grandchildren Ella R. and Kenlee R. Vansteenkiste, and Gage E. Looney; three brothers James Campbell of Philadelphia, PA, Donald Campbell of Wauseon, Michael Dale of Hamilton, IN, four sisters JoAnn Marshall of Ashflat, AR, Diane Farrow of Paw Paw, MI, Robin Farlie of Michigan City, IN, and Marsha Spencer of Orangeville, MI.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation hours for Donna will be on Thursday, May 24th from 1-3 and 5-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier. Services will be on Friday at 10:30 in the funeral home with Reverend Michael D. Raypholtz to officiate. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom Township, MI. Donations may be made to the Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
