Elden J. "Zimmy" Zimmerman, 84 of Montpelier and formerly of Waldron, MI died late Sunday at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN.   He was born on July 28th 1927 in Medina Township in Lenawee County, MI to Laurence E. & Lela (Cisco) Zimmerman.  On April 22nd 1950 he married Mary Ann Smith in Adrian, MI and she survives. In April of 1998 Elden retired from the Aro Corporation in Bryan after 35 years of employment as an assembler.  For many years Elden farmed on the family farm in Hillsdale County, Michigan.  He attended the Pioneer Nazarene Church. Surviving is his wife Mary Ann of Montpelier, two sons Duane & Faye Zimmerman of Florissant, CO and Ronald & Cyndi Zimmerman of Adrian, MI, two sisters Thelma Munsell of Perrysburg, OH,  and Phyllis & Richard McCloe of Brooklyn, MI, three grandchildren Daniel, Chad and Rebecca, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Elden was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Lowell and Cisco Zimmerman, two sisters Wanda Austin and Lela Shineberry. Services for Elden will be on Thursday, November 10th at 6:30pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer with Pastor Oakley Myers to officiate.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pm until the time of the service.  Graveside services will be at Lauber Hill Cemetery, 7058 Township Road 21, Archbold, Ohio on Friday at 1 pm with Pastor Gene McBride to officiate.  Donations can be made to the Pioneer Church of the Nazarene.
