Eleanor J. Ruetz, 86, of Montpelier left this Earth to be in Heaven with her loving husband on Friday morning at Defiance Area Regional Hospice Center.  She was born on March 9, 1929 in Northwest Township, Williams County, Ohio to Glen W. and Bessie M. (Grubs) Mocherman.  Eleanor graduated from Montpelier High School in 1947.  On November 20, 1948 she married James W. Ruetz and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2008. Eleanor retired in 1984 after 16 years at Robinair Manufacturing in Montpelier. She is survived by one son, Dennis (Mary) Ruetz of Pioneer; one daughter Jane (Allen) Kurtz of Montpelier; five grandchildren, Donya (Brian) Harrington, Staci (Chad) Dennison, Larisa (Aaron) Gulick, James (Kym) Kurtz and Jennifer Holman; nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, one brother Eldon Mocherman, one sister Dorothy J. Snyder and one great great grandchild. Visitation for Eleanor will be on Monday from 2-8 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Services will be on Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dee Custar to officiate.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Williams County Veterans Memorial Building or CHP Hospice.
