Gary Lee Goucher 54, of Alvordton died Thursday evening in the  Community Hospital and Wellness Center emergency room  in Montpelier after an extended illness. Gary was born December 1, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to James P. and Bevery J. (Stacy) Goucher.  At one time Gary worked at Shern Manufacturing in Lambertville, Michigan as a machine press operator before becoming disabled. Gary enjoyed fishing and hunting and just being outdoors. Survivors include his mother Beverly Goucher of Alvordton; one daughter: Genia M. Burow of Alvordton;  one son: Garrick L. Goucher of Walbridge, Ohio; two grandchildren: Jacob Smith and Tristian Goucher. He was preceded in death by his wife: Candance K. (Soncrant) Goucher, his father and one brother: James Goucher, Jr. There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held in Temperance, Michigan. Donations can be made to the Thompson Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.
