Obituary

George R. Stoner, 59, of Haskins, Ohio died late Sunday night at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.  He was born on November 28th 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to Arlo R. & Neta B. (Yoder) Stoner. George graduated from Heath, Ohio High School in 1970.  After high school George served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as an Air Traffic controller on the Air Craft Carrier USS Tripoli. In 1987 he received his associates degree from Owen's Technical College in Toledo and was certified as a commercial electrician.  George was a member of the I.B.E.W.  Local #8 in Toledo. George is survived by his mother Neta B. Gebert of Pioneer, one brother Arlo Ray Stoner, Jr. of Montpelier, and one sister Nancy A. Vermillion of Dayton, Ohio. A public celebration of life graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 1:30pm at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer with Pastor Michael Raypholtz to officiate.  Graveside services to be handled by the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer.  Military graveside rites to be conducted by the Pioneer Veterans.   Donations can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.   Please send any sympathy cards to: The Family of George Stoner, 319 East Lawrence Street, Montpelier, Ohio 43543.
