Helen M. Wyman, 83 of Pioneer died early Tuesday morning at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier.  Helen was born on June 2nd 1928 in Kunkle, Ohio to Lester and Bessie (Whetro) Esterline.  She married Frederic W. Wyman on November 30th 1946 in Montpelier and he preceded her in death. Helen graduated from Kunkle, Ohio High School in 1946 and was a homemaker for most of her life.  At the end of the 2011 North Central School year she retired after 26 years as the crossing guard at the downtown intersection in Pioneer.  Helen truly formed friendships with her little friends and could often be seen walking children home after her shift. Helen was a member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church. Helen is survived by two sons Dennis and Dawn Wyman of Wellington, Ohio, Randy and Deb Wyman of Pioneer, one daughter Bonnie S. Nicole of Angola, IN, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one sister Vonda Varady of Allen Park, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frederic in June of 2002, six brothers Donald, Richard, Maurice "Jake", Russell, Marvin and Eldeen, also one sister Naomi Weaver, and one great granddaughter Jessica Terrell. Visitation hours for Helen will be on Friday, February 17th from 4-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer.  Services will be on Saturday at 11am at Pioneer United Methodist Church with Reverend Michael Raypholtz to officiate.  Interment will be at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.  Donations may be made to the Pioneer United Methodist Church.
