She was very active in church life, serving as a Sunday School teacher, President of the Women’s Association, Vice President of the Missionaries group, and a deacon for 12 years. She was also honored as Woman of the Year by her church. Beyond church, Ida served her community as a member of the Williams County Genealogical Society and as a past member of the Montpelier Election Board. She also mentored students at Storrer Elementary School for five years.
Ida had a love for gardening and flowers, and she found joy in nurturing both her plants and the people around her.
