Jack  D. Zenz, 83 of Montpelier died Wednesday afternoon at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Center in Bryan.  He was born on November 21st 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to Raymond and Myrtle (Dietrich) Zenz.  Jack attended Defiance High School.  On April 2nd 1955 he married Janet J. Snyder in Angola, Indiana. In 1988 Jack retired after 35 years of being the owner and operator of Meindl Motor Sales in Montpelier.  After retiring Jack and his wife Janet owned and operated J & J Antiques for approximately 25 years.  Jack had also driven truck for GTS Expediting for approximately 10 years. At one time Jack was a member of the Ohio Art Club. Jack is survived by his wife Janet of 56 years, two sons Steve and Gayla Zenz of Des Moines, IA, Scot and Linda Zenz of Pioneer, one daughter Stacey and Bob Walkup of Pioneer four grandchildren Kevin, Katie, Emma and Jack Zenz. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step mother Margaret, one sister Phyllis Murphy, and one infant brother. Visitation hours for Jack will be on Friday, February 17th from 4-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier.   Services will be on Saturday at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor James Mays to officiate.  Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Donations may be made to the Williams County Veterans Memorial or Solid Rock Community Church.
