Obituary

Joann M. Keil, 74, of Holiday City, Ohio died at 11:08 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family, following a lingering illness. She was born May 26, 1936 in Defiance County, Ohio, to Mary C. Willitzer and John W. Wagner. A 1954 graduate of Jewell High School, she was married to Ronald N. Keil on October 19, 1957 by Father Moore, at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Defiance, and he survives. A devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker she was a skilled baker and cook, and was an avid gardener. Joann was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montpelier, and The Rosary Altar Society of the Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Ronald G. (Kristie) Keil of Holiday City, four daughters, Cindy (Jerry) Sniadecki, Montpelier, Susan Durliat (and special friend Kyle Custer), Bryan, Denise (Dennis) Miller, Fayette, and Kris (Doug) Dulle, Edon. Eight grandchildren, Kyle (Jason) Caudill, Joseph, Megan, Morgan Keil, Tyler Miller, Jacob, Jenna, and Logan Dulle. Two great grandchildren, Cody and Kennedy Caudill. Three brothers, Paul (Vivian) Wagner, Defiance, John (Alice) Wagner, Adrian, Michigan, and James (Joan) Wagner, Defiance, and five sisters, Valeria (Jim) Barber, Ayersville, Grace Cape, Edgerton, Marcella (Gerald) Froelich, Ayersville, Mary Gillen, Montpelier, and Martha (Chuck) Konecny, Bowling Green, Ohio. Preceding her in death were brothers Carl, Bernard, Justin, Raymond and Walter Wagner, and sisters Irene Baker and Rosemary Eisel. Visitation for Joann willbe Tuesday from 5:00-8:30 p.m. in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier where a Scripture Service will be held at 8:15 p.m. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 and 6:00-8:30 p.m. in the funeral home with a Rosary service at 8:15 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montpelier, with Fr. James Halleron, Fr. Fred Duschl, and Deacon Ralph Dominique officiating Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Preferred memorials are to Hospice of Community Hospitals and Wellness Center or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
