JOE. E. DOHNER Joe E. Dohner, 65, of Montpelier, Ohio died Thursday evening May 12, 2011 in his home following an illness. Born April 6, 1946 at Butler, Indiana to Howard Eugene and Jennibell (Whitman) Dohner, he was a former Butler, Indiana and Edgerton, Ohio resident, and had been a Montpelier resident since 1967. Joe had retired in 1992 as a machine operator from the former Mohawk Tools, Inc. of Montpelier where he had been employed for 26 years. He was an active participant at the Montpelier Senior Center, as well as enjoyed serving as an active volunteer at Valley-of-the-Pines RV Park at Angola, Indiana. On July 12, 1964 he was married to Jean E, Baughman, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons,John (Lisa) Dohner, and Jerry (fiancée Annette Brown) Dohner, both of Montpelier. Four grandchildren, Jason (Tori) Dohner, Joey (Amy) Dohner, Amanda (special friend Matt Strobel) Dohner, Jeri (special friend) Christopher Semenovich), all of Montpelier. Four great grandchildren, Jarron, Joel, Tayla, and Aubrey Dohner. One brother, Clyde (Phyllis) Dohner, Auburn, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlotte Husted . Private family services will be held and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Suggested memorials are to Hospice of Community Hospitals and Wellness Cen ters or Montpelier Senior Center.
