Joel Ryan Fackler, 30, of Pioneer, passed away on June 3, 2021 at Ascensions Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on October 18, 1990 in Bryan to Thomas E. and Melody D. (Price) Fackler. Joel graduated from North Central High in 2007.

Joel was a very friendly person and especially got along well with children. He enjoyed listening to music, riding four wheelers and playing video games. Joel loved to tell stories and loved to sketch scenes of nature, people and tattoos. At one time he was involve with Boy Scouts and the Pioneer Fire Department. He adored his dog Skippy and will be dearly missed by so many.

Joel is survived by his parents, Thomas and Melody Fackler of Pioneer; one sister, Teresa (Jeremy) Thomas of Pioneer; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, Mike (Mary) Price, Brad (Angie) Price, Shawnda Price, Denise (Mark) Lash, Bill (Jill) Fackler and Kay Fackler; many cousins, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Mabel Fackler; maternal grandparents, Janet (Richard) Thompson; and three uncles, Dave, Jim and Mike Fackler.

A time to receive friends will take place on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 2-6 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer. Joel will be laid to rest at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given in Joel's memory to Gift of Life of Michigan.
