John Richard Houser, 66, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born January 9, 1957, in Montpelier, Ohio, to Richard and Barbara (Mullins) Houser.

John attended Montpelier High School and would eventually retire, after working as a truck driver for various companies over the years. He was a member of the Eagles in Montpelier and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as well as the occasional fishing trip.

Surviving are his siblings, Holly (Jeff) Bloomfield of Louisville, Kentucky, and Louis Houser of Montpelier; and his nieces and nephews, Leslie Coblentz, Lindsey Serrano, Leah Salinas, Jonathan Bloomfield, and Joseph Bloomfield. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Houser and Barbara Houser-Keller.
