LARRY E. "BUBBLES" SNYDER 1933 – 2011 Larry E. "Bubbles" Snyder, 78 of Montpelier, Ohio, died early Friday April 15, 2011, at Community Hospital and Wellness Center, Montpelier following a lingering illness. Born February 19, 1933 at Montpelier to Lawrence L. and Mildred L. (Spangler) Snyder, he was a lifelong Montpelier resident and a graduate of Montpelier High School. On July 8, 1962 he was married to Marsha K. Mason, and she survives. Larry retired in 1994 from the Norfolk & Southern Railroad where he had been employed for 42 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Montpelier, and was an active member of the Montpelier Trackside Modelers Club. He was a former coach of the Montpelier Summer League Girls Softball. Since 1994 Larry and Marsha have enjoyed line dancing in the tri-state area until his illness. Also surviving is a son, Aaron E. (Monica) Snyder, Montpelier; and a daughter, Vickie K. Arnold of Montpelier. Three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two sisters, Janet (Jack) Zenz, Montpelier, and Linda (Dick) Moog, Bryan. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a great grandson, Rousch Fry and an infant brother, Keith Snyder. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. in Wilson - Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 in First United Methodist Church with Reverend Robert Damschroder officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Preferred Memorials are to Montpelier Hospital Rehabilitation Center or First United Methodist Church.
