Linda Lou Kreischer, 67, of Montpelier was welcomed to heaven Saturday night.  She was born on May 3, 1947 in Decatur, Illinois to Lyle S. and Connie (Dixon) Hazlet.  Linda graduated from Montpelier High School in 1966. Linda had formerly been employed at Key Plastics in Montpelier for approximately 10 years.  She was a member of the Montpelier Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband John J. Kreischer, Jr.; father Lyle S. (Carolee) Hazlet of Moberly, Missouri; one daughter, Rhonda J. Gill of Montpelier; two sons, Ryan D. Bagley and John J. Kreischer, III, both of Montpelier; a twin sister Diane S. Gideon of Mount Pallasai, Illinois; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and her favorite cousin Cathy Stalker of Decatur, Illinois. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Connie McMillen and brother-in-law Ernie Gideon. Visitation for Linda will be on Thursday, April 16th from 4-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Services will be on Friday at 11am at the funeral home with Carolee Hazlet to speak.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray costs.
