Obituary

LOLA BELLE BROWN (1916 – 2010) Lola Belle Brown, 94, of Montpelier, died Sunday evening, November 7, 2010 at Hillside Country Living following a brief serious illness. A lifelong area resident, Lola was born November 3, 1916 in Superior Township to Amanda Parmella Zuber and Alvin A. Stantz. She was married to Arthur R. Brown and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1992. She was a member of New Beginnings Church, Montpelier, and for many years was a faithful volunteer and member of Montpelier See & Do organization. Surviving are two sons, Ronald L. (Rebecca) Brown, and Joe E. (Janet S.) Brown, both of Montpelier. 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Harold and James Brown, and a daughter Delores Purgason. Two grandchildren, Sandy Schoonover and Shane Brown. Four brothers, Oliver, Melvin, Ellsworth, and Neri Stantz. Six sisters, Abbie Koch, Myrtle Waldron, Dorothy Ellis, Elva Stahler, Zula Traxler, and Nettie Blythe. Visitation for Lola Belle Brown will be in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in New Beginnings Church, Montpelier with Pastor Mike Martenelli officiating. Burial will be in West Buffalo Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to New Beginnings Church.
