Obituary

LOU ANN MULLENS Lou Ann Mullens, 87, of rural Montpelier, Ohio died Wednesday morning January 26, 2011 at Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton, following a lingering illness. She was born August11, 1923 in Calvin, Nicholas County, West Virginia, the daughter of John and Bessie (Hickman) Fitzwater, and was a graduate of Nicholas County High School. She was married to Warren "Bill" Mullens and he preceded her in death in June, 2006. A lifelong homemaker, Lou Ann was a Montpelier area resident since 1980, and a Park View resident since 2006. She attended West Eagle Creek Presbyterian Church near Montpelier. Surviving is one daughter Beverly Jo (V. Duane) Burns of Edon, Ohio; a granddaughter Karen (Vaughn) Hukill, Jr. of Edon; three step granddaughters, seven great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. Two sisters, Ella (Warren) Cox, Plantation, Florida, and Betty Dean, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 29, 2011 in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor David Miller officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier.
