Lowell Eugene Martin, 96 of Pioneer, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 29, 1928 in Pioneer to Earl and Mabel (Maneval) Martin. Lowell graduated from Pioneer High School in 1946 and then went on to obtain his associates degree from the International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1948.

For over 37 years, Lowell worked as an accountant for several different companies over the course of his professional career. He was a member of Solid Rock Community Church in West Unity, where he served as an elder and was one of the original charter members of the church from when it first began in Pioneer.

Lowell is survived by his children, Greg (Mary) Martin of Angola, Indiana, Diane (Chuck) Blakeman of Denver, Colorado, Debra (Rick) Thompson of Vonore, Tennessee and Todd (Laura) Martin of Syracuse, Indiana; ten grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 70 years, Dolores "Dee" (Miller) Martin; and sister, Phyllis Cherry.

In honoring Mr. Martin's wishes, all services will be private. He will be laid to rest at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer, Ohio. Donations may be made in Lowell's memory to Solid Rock Community Church.
