Lynn A. Ely age 50 of Montpelier passed away unexpectedly Tuesday May 22, 2018 in his home.  He was born February 19, 1968 in Bryan, Ohio to Larry R. and Christine A. (Lukey) Ely of Montpelier. He attended Montpelier Schools and Four County Career Center in Archbold.  He was employed as a machinist.  Lynn was a member of the Montpelier Eagles. Survivors of Lynn, in addition to his parents Larry and Christine, are his fiancée, Janice L. Clair of Montpelier, one brother, Jamie M. Ely of Bryan, three sisters, Wendy (Steven) Clair of Montpelier, Stephanie D. Genova of Girard, Ohio, Diana (Bradley) Clark of Montpelier, paternal grandmother, Ada Ely of Pioneer, maternal grandmother, Anna Lukey of Montpelier, several nieces and nephews and best friend, Jessie. Lynn was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ralph D. Ely and maternal grandfather, Rudolph Lukey. Visitation for Lynn will be held Friday May 25, 2018, from 2-7 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  A funeral service will follow immediately after visitation at 7 p.m. with Father David Tscherne officiating.   Memorial donations are requested to the family.
