MABLE P. BROWN
1910 - 2011
Mable P. Brown, 100, of rural Montpelier, Ohio died Tuesday morning, March 22, 2011 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 19, 1910 in Bridgewater Township, Williams County to Harley and Rosa (Buda) Walters, and was a lifelong area resident.
On January 24, 1934 she was married to Ira N. Brown and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1995.
Mable had retired in 1985 from the maintenance department of Beam – Stream, Inc. Montpelier, where she had been employed for over 15 years.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth (Ruth) Brown, Bryan, Robert Brown, Montpelier, and George (Carolyn) Brown, Bryan. Three daughters, Nancy Ramer, Swanton, Ohio, Pat (Bennie) Beck, Montpelier, and Sandra Carter, Pioneer. Fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. A sister, Neva Reese, in Arizona. Three half-sisters, Alta Bordner, in Tennessee, Iola Aderhold, and Donna Harrington, both of Pioneer.
Also preceding her in death were two sons-in-law, Carl L. Carder in February 1996 and Bill Ramer in November 2010. One grandson, Doug Ramer in April 1987, and a half-sister, Irene Rupp.
Visitation for Mable P. Brown will be Thursday March 24, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday March 25th in the funeral home with Pastor Dee Custar officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier.
