MARCIELLE M. STARR Marcielle M. Starr, 90, of Montpelier, Ohio, died early Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Dream Haven in Edgerton, Ohio. Marcielle was born November 28, 1921 in Bryan, Ohio, but grew up in Steuben County, Indiana. She graduated from Metz High School in 1939. She graduated from Fort Wayne International Business College in 1941. She worked as a secretary at the former Montpelier Manufacturing Company in Montpelier during World War II. Also, as a secretary for Western Union in Montpelier from the late 1950s to the mid 1970s. Marcielle married Harold P. "Shorty" Starr on St. Patrick's Day in 1945 in Topeka, Kansas where he was stationed with the Army Air Force as a tail gunner on a B-29. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2008. One son, Lee, passed in February, 2000. One son Gary survives. Marcielle was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Montpelier. Visitation for Marcielle will be from 11.00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday December 16th in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier, where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Ronald Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Preferred memorials are to Dream Haven, 233 East Morrison Street, Edgerton, Ohio
