MARGARET M. (CUFFE) LONG
Margaret M. (Cuffe) Long, 70, of Montpelier, Ohio died Sunday evening, August 28, 2011 in The Toledo Hospital following an illness.
She was born November 1, 1940 at Sisseton, South Dakota to Henry Levi and Mary Frances (Sexton) Cuffe. She was a graduate of Aurora High School in Aurora, Minnesota, and was married to Jamie E. Long on August 8, 1959. The Longs had been Montpelier residents since 1973
Margaret was a member of Sacred Heart Cathloic Church, Montpelier. She was co-owner and operator with her husband Jamie of Long & Associates of Montpelier.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one son, James E. (Shelly) Long, Montpelier, and six daughters Denise (Michael) Allman, Lori Ann Long, Connie M. Long, Brenda Kay Long, Tammy (Robert) Duchene, and Mary Frances (Bill)Clark, all of Montpelier, twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One brother, Francis (Josie) Cuffe, Chester, Virginia, and three sisters, Nancy Thompson, Rosholt, South Dakota, Mary Thompson, Chisholm, Minnesota, and Rosalind Allen, Macon, Georgia. A brother-in-law, George N. Roerig, Montpelier. And special nephew, William (Lynn) Patrick, Montpelier, and great niece, Erin (Ryan) Gilcher, Bryan, Ohio.
Preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers, William, Patrick, Jack, Thomas, and Michael Cuffe, and two sisters, Agnes Roerig and Leah Dansey.
Visitation will be in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Friday from 2 -8 p.m. with a Rosary Service following at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montpelier, with Fr. James Halleron officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Suggested memorials are to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
