Margaret R. Faunce, 100 of Montpelier, died early Saturday morning at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier.  She was born on April 6th 1911 in Hamilton Township, Michigan to Charles I. & Margaret C. (Johnson) Swayne. Margaret was a homemaker, but at one time she worked at the City Laundry and volunteered for approximately 34 years at the See & Do both in Montpelier.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Montpelier. Margaret is survived by one son John Faunce of Montpelier, one daughter Roberta & David Dietsch of Montpelier, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, a former daughter-in-law Bertha Faunce of Bryan, two brothers Walter Swayne of Saginaw, MI and Walter Rathburn of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents Grant & Mary Stafford, husband Lee R. "Roy" Faunce in April of 1985, one daughter M. Charlene Faunce, two brothers Robert & Charles Swayne, two sisters Lucille Swayne & Dorothy Faunce, and one grandson Daniel Dietsch in 1982. Visitation hours for Margaret will be on Monday, January 16th from 4-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier.  Services will be on Tuesday at 1pm at the funeral home with Reverend David Tilly to officiate.  Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the See & Do or the Williams County Senior Center in Montpelier.
