MARY KAY BLISSETT
Mary Kay Blissett, 63, of Bryan, Ohio and a former Montpelier and West Unity resident, died Wednesday morning, February 16, 2011 in her home following a lingering illness.
She was born June 16, 1947 at Wauseon, Ohio to Clyde and Doris (Burger) Oberlin.
Mary Kay was a 1965 graduate of Montpelier High School. For over 19 years she was employed as a counter attendant at Riverside Greens Golf Course, Stryker, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of the West United Presbyterian Church and the West Unity Jaycettes.
An avid bowler and golfer, she was a member of several bowling and golfing leagues as well.
Surviving Mary Kay are one son, Judd (Melanie) Blissett, Lake Pleasant, Indiana; two daughters, Katrena (Rich) Ebersole, Bryan and Danyel Wortkoetter, Bryan. Nine grandchildren, Michael, Lee, Julie, and CristaWortkoetter, Kasey, Chelsea, and Dylan Ebersole, Nathan and Hannah Blissett. Three brothers, Dennis (Wendy) Oberlin, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Richard (Dianne) Oberlin, Port Huron, Michigan, and Lynn (Shirley) Oberlin, Westminster, Colorado. A sister, Beth Ann (Don) Sobnosky, Wadsworth, Ohio, a brother-in-law, Rodney Huffman, Farmer, Ohio.
Mary Kay was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Shirley Huffman and an infant brother, Edward Oberlin.
According to her wishes, her body was donated to University of Toledo Medical College.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 in First Presbyterian Church, Bryan, with Lynn Oberlin officiating. Preferred memorials are to the family.
