Mary K. Bowsher, 87, of Bryan, Ohio died Tuesday December 27, 2011, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, Bryan following a lengthy illness. A former Defiance and Ney resident, she had been a Bryan resident since 1993. Mary was born December 11, 1924, in Sylvania, Ohio to Albert Leroy and Edith Barbara (Kurtzman) Noonan, Sr. She was a 1943 graduate of Burnham High School, Sylvania. She was married to George L. Bowsher, and he preceded her in death in February, 1980. A member of Bryan V.F.W Auxiliary, Mary had retired in 1984 from Bryan Custom Plastics where she had been employed for over 21 years. Surviving is a daughter, Marjorie Ann McNett, Toledo; a brother, Richard A. (Alice) Noonan, Jr, Toledo; and a sister, Jane F. Bushey, Reno, NV. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Albert L. Noonan, Jr, Charles E. Noonan, and Kenneth E. Noonan, all of Toledo. Visitation will be Friday, December 30th from 10:00 a.m. to noon in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Ney Cemetery, Ney, Ohio, with Pastor Craig Peffley officiating. Preferred memorials are to Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
