Mary Ellen Papp, 84 of Montpelier died late Thursday night at her residence. She was born on May 21st, 1927 in Kunkle, Ohio to Robert B. & Mary E. (Fortney) Apt, Sr. Mary attended Kunkel High School. In 1992, Mary retired from Robinair Manufacturing Co. in Montpelier after 31 years of employment as a shipping clerk. Mary was a life member of the Montpelier Eagles. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and dear friend and loving companion Glenn Semer of Montpelier. She was preceded in death by her parents, a husband Louis D. Papp on June 20th 1970, seven brothers Edear "Mickey", Robert Jr., John, Paul, Kenneth, Sherman "Bill" and Norman Apt, two sisters Margaret Roose and Ruth Lenore Apt, who was an infant. A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 23rd at 11 am at Kunkle Cemetery in Kunkle, Ohio with Pastor Don Harris to officiate.
