MAXINE H. BROWN 1918 – 2010 MONTPELIER- Maxine H. Brown, 92, of Montpelier, died Friday morning, November 26, 2010 at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier, following a lengthy illness. Maxine was born November 14, 1918, at Angola, Indiana to Grace Elizabeth Champion and Henry York Somers, and been a Montpelier resident most of her life. She married Robert L. Brown on July 3, 1962, and he survives. Also surviving is one son, Dr. Jan Garber in Florida; three grandchildren, Jan Garber, Jr. in Florida; Clint T. (Margaret) Garber, Norwalk, Ohio and Tim (Tricia) Garber, Tacoma, Washington; twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a granddaughter, Bobbie Shaffer, and sister, Pauline Miller. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier.
