Michael E. Gallagher, 59 of Montpelier died Wednesday night at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Center ER in Montpelier.  Michael had been a Williams County resident for most of his life.  He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 27th 1952 to Clarence & Mary (Baker) Gallagher.   In 1971 Mike graduated from Whitmer High School in Toledo.  He married Cheryle E. Achtermann on April 23rd 1975 in Toledo, Ohio. Mike was an auto parts store manager for the "Pioneer Auto Center" in Fayette then Montpelier for the last 32 years.  He was a former member of the Montpelier Eagles Lodge. Mike is survived by his wife Cheryle of 36 years, two daughters Tammy & Dean Goebel of Bryan, Terri & Rich Stoy of Montpelier, five grandchildren Tara, Jeffrey, & Dylan Goebel, Alyssa & Aaron Stoy, two great grandchildren Braeden & Skyler Hancock, two brothers Al & Carol Gallagher of Toledo, Tom Gallagher of Toledo, two sisters Linda & Jim Fencer of Conway, AR, Patty & Jim Opeczewski of Toledo, He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother James Gallagher. Visitation hours for Mike will be on Sunday, February 12th from 3-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier.  Services will be on Monday at 11am at the funeral home with Reverend Bruce A. Tumblin to officiate.  Interment will be at Shiffler Cemetery in Jefferson Township.  Donations may be made to the Susan B. Komen Cure.
