Neil "Ed" E. Caulder, 85, of Montpelier passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Community Health and Wellness Centers in Bryan.  He was born on March 30, 1938 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Charles and Ella (Hayes) Caulder.  Ed served in the United States Navy from 1956-1960, stationed on an aircraft carrier.  On June 26, 1964 he married DeLaura Brown in Ridgeway, Ohio and she survives.

Ed was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He was a Systems Analysist / Programmer.  Ed was known for his wise cracking jokes and talking anyone's ear off.  He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, DeLaura; children Matt (Amy) Caulder of Salem, Oregon, Anne Caulder of Olympia, Washington and Alyce (Steve) Long of Defiance..  Ed was preceded in death by his parents and sister Trudy Tolsdorf.
