Norman Herbert Crow, age 98, of rural Camden, MI passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where he had been a patient for two months. He was born July 27, 1915, to William and Pearl (Weeder) Crow in Amboy Township, Hillsdale County, MI. He attended Amboy country school and graduated from Pioneer High School in 1932. On January 7, 1936, he married Frances Sommers, and they lived on their centennial farm for 78 years until March when they entered Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center. He farmed until retirement and during that time also worked for a ten-year period in the seventies first for White Motors in Montpelier and then for Challenge Cook in Bryan. He was Amboy Township treasurer for six years. Norman was a lifetime member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church. He will be remembered for his ready wit (timely and clever puns) and his long memory for quips and quotes. Besides his wife, survivors include two daughters. Margaret (David) Davis of Bryan and Barbara (James) Church of Okemos, MI; five grandchildren, Timothy (Wendy) Davis of Franklin, Sarah (Michael) Smith of New Albany, John (Allison) Davis of Naperville, IL, Laura (Giorgi) Ivanishvili of Atlanta, GA, Rachel (Kelvin) Potter of Okemos, MI; and nine great grandchildren; nephew William Kingsbury of West St. Paul, MN, niece Jean Tipton of Naples, FL. and first cousin James Cook of Anaheim, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Maxine Kingsbury in 2006, and brother-in-law Earl Kingsbury of Fort Wayne. Visitation for Norman Crow will be held on Tuesday May 27th from 10-11am at the Pioneer United Methodist Church.  Services will follow at 11am at the church with Reverend Mike Raypholtz to officiate.  Interment will be at 2pm at Frontier Cemetery in Hillsdale County, 10424 Clark Road Hillsdale.  Donations may be made to the Pioneer United Methodist Church 706 Baubice Street, Pioneer, OH 43554.
