Patricia F. Pitzen, 73, of Camden, Michigan passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.  She was born on March 12, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and JoAnne (Kaszynski) Burgard.  Patricia graduated from DeVilbiss High School.  On May 30, 1995 she married Robert L. Pitzen, Jr., and he survives.

Patricia served as a Police Officer for The Toledo Police Department for 16 years, before retiring in 2002.  She loved her family and enjoyed reading and crocheting afghans for Heartbeat.  Patricia volunteered with the Hillsdale Hospice and was known to be the best triple chocolate cake baker around.

She is survived by her husband Robert; children Holly (Renae) Dupler, Robert (Malissa) Pitzen III, Paul (Shelly) Pitzen and Michelle (Bernie) Booth-Schuh; 14 grandchildren Michael, Adrien, Damion, Darian, Alyssa, Nicolas, Celeste, Amanda, April, Allison, Paul II, John, Tonya and Sydnee; 13 great grandchildren; brothers Gregory (Angela) Burgard and Thomas Burgard.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Bob Burgard Jr., Marie Martin, Shirley Tucholski, Cathy Gilbert and Terry Burgard.

Visitation for Patricia will be on Monday, December 18th from 1-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer, Ohio.  Services will follow at 7pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Friends of Lake Diane.
