Rachel R. Peconge, 45, of Goshen, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Adventist Health Simi Valley Hospital.  She was born on December 1, 1979 in Napoleon, Ohio.  Rachel graduated from North Central High School and attended the University of Toledo.  On March 15, 2013 she married Matthew E. Peconge in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he survives.  She enjoyed attending her children's sporting events and watching Hallmark movies.  Rachel loved her children tremendously.

She is survived by her parents Martin R. and Julie M. (Geesey) Galloway of Kunkle; husband of 11 years, Matthew; children Ethan R. Steinke of Columbus, Ohio, Carter R. Steinke of Edon, Makenna R. Peconge of Leo, Indiana and Kellen M. Peconge of Leo; brother Joseph R. Galloway of Kunkle; maternal grandmother Marie Geesey; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Rachel was preceded in death by her mother Tina L. Galloway, paternal grandparents Ross & Mary Galloway, maternal grandpa Thomas Geesey and Aunt Rebecca Grant.

A time to receive friends will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 3-6 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. A celebration of life service will take place on Friday at 6 pm at the funeral home with Dr. Dan VanArsdalen to officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to the Edon Athletic Boosters.
