Richard "Ric" E. Steinke, 55, of Pioneer passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio.  He was born on July 14, 1967 in Toledo to Darwin "Bub" E. and Sharon E. (Rupp) Steinke.  Rick graduated from North Central High School in 1985.  On June 24, 2006 he married Sara M. Winchell and she survives.

Rick was a member of Salem Mennonite Church in Camden, Michigan.  He was a very kind and caring person.

He is survived by his wife Sara; mother Sharon Steinke of DeLeon Springs, Florida; step children Terry (Paige) Fulton of Bryan and Amanda Wolfrum of Edgerton; step grandchildren Noelle, Autumn, Brookelynn, Braelynne, Brylie and Teirstyn; and brother Kurt (Alanna) Steinke on Ten Sleep, Wyoming.  Rick was preceded in death by his father Bub Steinke.

Visitation hours for Ric will be on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 4-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Services will be on Saturday at 2pm at the Salem Mennonite Church,  13781 Tripp Road, Waldron, Michigan 49288 with Pastor Meredith Caldwell to officiate.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sara for funeral expenses.
