Rita M. Wehrle, 63, of Edon passed away Thursday afternoon at her home.  She was born on October 19, 1954 in Bryan to Lavon Albert and Helen Ruby (Stackhouse) Wehrle.  Rita married Doug Harding on July 6, 2002 and he preceded her in death.  She was the owner and operator of Rita's Family Dining in Edgerton for 21 years. Rita is survived by her children, Jeremy (Danielle) Stickan of Edon, Jessica (Eric) Marion of Candia, NH and Jennifer (Jason) Slagle of Fetch, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Ruby & Christian Stickan, Jacob & Audra Marion, and Cody, Justin & Lauren Slagle; and siblings, Judy Strock, Donald Wehrle, Diane Burkholder, Linda Crawford, Edwin Wehrle, Janis Green, Douglas Wehrle, David Wehrle, Lisa Wehrle, Brenda Mercer, Karen Hulbert and Kay Fritch. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doug and brother Kenneth Wehrle. Visitation for Rita will be on Monday, September 10th from 1-7:30pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  There will be a Rosary Service at 7:30pm at the funeral home.  Rita will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Blakeslee, Ohio.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Kidney Association.
