RUTH A. VAN WYE Ruth A. Van Wye, 78. of Montpelier, Ohio died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance, Ohio.. She was born May 4, 1932 at Hillsdale, Michigan to Everett E. and Edith Agnes (Hudkins) Price. Ruth was a Montpelier resident since infancy and was a 1951 graduate of Montpelier High School. On July 5, 1952 she was married to Harry D. Van Wye, and he survives. Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church, Montpelier. She had retired in 1994 as an engineering clerk at Beam-Stream, Inc. of Montpelier where she had been employed for 28 years. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Sue (Curtis) Adams, Kettering, Ohio and Shelly (Ken) Miller, Hamilton, Indiana. Three grandchildren, Allen (Stephanie) Miller, Hamilton, Indiana, and Andy (Cassie) Miller, of Huntington, Indiana; and, Jeff Adams, Kettering, Ohio, One great grand daughter, Jacqueline Miller. And one sister, Joann Motter, Bryan, Ohio. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were three brothers, Forest, Carl, and Reverend Alfred Price, and three sisters, Viola Tressler, Geraldine Huston, and Ruby Huenink. Visitation for Ruth A. Van Wye will be Friday, April 22nd in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23rd in First United Methodist Church, Montpelier, with Reverend Robert Damschroder, officiating. Burial will follow in Eddy Cemetery near Hamilton, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to First United Methodist Church or Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
