RUTH M. WEIDNER Ruth M. Weidner, 96, of Montpelier, Ohio died early Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, Bryan, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 6, 1915 at Pioneer, Ohio to Thomas and Iva (Zimmer) Pinckley. Ruth was a graduate of Pioneer High School, and was married to Philip M. Weidner and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1992. A secretary most of her adult years, she had served over 25 years as a secretary and assistant in the Montpelier Village Clerk's Office until her retirement. Surviving Ruth are two sons, Hal (Polly) Weidner, The Villages, Florida, and Gene (Linda) Weidner, Montpelier; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews survive. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband was an Infant daughter Marlene Kay in 1935, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio, where funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend David Tilly officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer. Suggested memorials are to First Presbyterian Church, Montpelier.
