Sarah J. Walsh-Lillard, 68, of Green Island, NY and formerly of Pioneer, OH, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Green Island surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 25, 1950 in Brighton, IA to John H. and Darlene M. (Ruttan) Walsh. Sarah graduated from Artesia High School in Artesia, CA. From 1970 to 1975 she worked in the nursing profession in California. Upon her move to Pioneer in 1975 she began working at Kustom Fit as a seating designer until 1992. Sarah also worked at Dygert Seating in Elkhart, IN for a number of years. Sarah is survived by her children, Rita (Michele) Heffern of Green Island, NY, Barbara Lillard of Kunkle, Carl Lillard of South Carolina; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two siblings, Bob Walsh of California and Helen Walsh of Texas; best friend Florence Humphry; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ray Walsh and four sisters, Jan Perdew, Mary Dominquez, Pat Walsh and Kathy Walsh-Underwood. Visitation for Sarah will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer.  Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Father David Tscherne to officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.
