(Brannan) Hummel
March 19, 1943 – August 23, 2024
Sharon K. Hummel, 81, of Bryan passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Vancrest Nursing Home in Hicksville, Ohio. She was born on March 19, 1943 in Bryan to Charles J. and Helen E. (Baird) Brannan. Sharon graduated from Bryan High School in 1961. On July 27, 1963 she married John G. Hummel and he preceded her in death in 2014.
Sharon was involved in the Housekeeping Department at a Ramada Inn in Arkansas for 20 years, before moving back to Bryan and working at the Colonial Manor Motel in Bryan.
She is survived by her sons Duane (Veneldia) Hummel of Bryan and Jeffrey (Stacie) Hummel of Defiance; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two brothers Richard S. Brannan of Portland, Oregon, Kenneth E. Brannan of Glenn Dale, Maryland, and sister Charlene (Rick) Franks of Pulaski, Ohio.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and twin brother Robert Brannan, brother James R. Brannan, and two sisters Barbara Froelich and Kathy Goller.
Visitation for Sharon will be on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will follow at the funeral home at 1 P.M. with Pastor George Goller to officiate. Sharon will be laid to rest at Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan. Memorial contributions may be given to the Northwest Ohio Alzheimer's Association.
