William "Dave" Bonwell, 69, of West Unity, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 6, 1947 in Cambridge City, Indiana to William and Jeanette (Harry) Bonwell. Dave proudly served his country in the United States Airforce, serving two tours in Vietnam. On October 20, 1993 he married Cynthia L. (Mercer) Hepker in Virginia and she survives. Dave worked for many years for GTE-Sprint in West Unity as a telephone man, making many friends in the communication field. He loved Nascar and bowling. Dave is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cynthia Bonwell of West Unity; one son, Brad (Stacey) Bonwell of Cambridge City, IN; two daughters, Angie (Charley) Edwards and Carla Molla all of Richmond, IN; one step son, Aaron (Lisa) Kirkingburg on Newark, OH; three step daughters, Jonie (Michael) Gibbs of Belmont, MI, Cassondra Hardy of Stryker, OH and Christina Hepker of West Unity, OH; six grandchildren; thirteen step grandchildren; two brothers, Sam (Geri) Bonwell of Ardmore, TN and Ralph Bonwell of Pulaski, TN; one sister, Louise Baker of Pulaski, TN; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Dave's life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Dave's memory to Community Health Professionals.
