William "Bill" G. Summers, 88, of Montpelier passed away Tuesday morning at his home.  He was born on July 31, 1926 in Montpelier to Warren H. and Martha L. (Gorman) Summers.  Bill graduated from Montpelier High School in 1944.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. In 1993 Bill retired from Chrysler in Perrysburg as an assembly worker.  He loved to garden and play scrabble. Bill is survived by one sister, Marilyn Westerlund of Montpelier and fifteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Joe, Larry, Tom and Sam Summers, four sisters, Betty Payne, Barbara Wolfe, Patricia Summers and Margaret Stuck. Graveside services for Bill will be on Friday, April 17th at 1:30pm at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier with Reverend David Tilly to officiate.  Graveside rites will be provided by the Montpelier Veterans.  Donations may be made to the Montpelier Parks Children's Garden.
